Polyurethane powder adhesive with an active adhesion catalyst
Application: Textiles with a waterproof coating (e.g. umbrellas, raincoats)
TPU-H was developed for use on hydrophobic substrates where standard powder adhesives don't provide sufficient adhesion. It's a polyurethane powder adhesive containing an active adhesion catalyst that activates under the influence of heat during the heat-curing process.
A solution dedicated to demanding applications where a durable connection of the print with the impregnated surface is crucial.
🔥 Why is this so important?
Textiles with a water-repellent coating, such as raincoats and umbrellas, have a protective layer that effectively repels water – but it also makes it harder for the adhesive to bond to the material.
In such cases, standard powders may not provide adequate adhesion, leading to print detachment. TPU-H was designed specifically for these applications.

Before production, adhesion tests and washing tests are mandatory to confirm effectiveness on a given substrate.
